BMW NORTH AMERICA
WORK SPACE

This new office space is built on a mezzanine above manufacturing halls, where below the BMW X3 is assembled with the utmost care and precision. The objective was to accommodate BMW associates to the company's high standards in a column free, flexible space. The solution was to suspend the ceiling from the hall's roof trusses. Utilizing prefabricated walls, and other pre-manufactured components, construction was able to occur without disturbing production. A raised flooring system allows associates to adjust the temperature in their individual workspace. Day-lighting is introduced through skylights and translucent ceilings. Demountable conference room walls allow changes to the space without demolition. LED lighting, recycled steel ceilings, and recycled carpet tile were utilized. To comply with BMW confidentiality policies photographs of the space are not shown.
