RAMBLE-MERIDIAN HOUSE ON BEADLE LANE
Two wings, private and public, are rotated in plan about the fireplace. The meridian scribed by a stone wall defines courtyards that house a Japanese rock garden, the driveway, and outdoor living spaces. Indoor living blends with the outdoors through the use of a sliding interior wall that opens to a screened porch. Abundant daylight fills the great room through a clerestory. The texture of the home blends with the surrounding fabric of the neighborhood.
