The Hatchery (Home of White Duck Taco)
River Arts District, Asheville

The Hatchery produced eggs and hens during WWII. The location is now a critical edge of Asheville's River Arts District that was in dire need of attention. This renovation, done in collaboration with John Bryant, converted the storied building into studios and a restaurant. Utilizing industrial low tech materials the cost of the renovations was kept low to meet the tight budget.
